CORRUPTION

We all say that poverty is a disease. Quite frankly, i agree but the question we should ask is what causes poverty? Poverty can be as a result of laziness or as a result of something else. But the major thing that causes or brings poverty in most third world countries is nothing else than corruption. Look at the world today, what do you see? corruption everyday and everywhere even in the western world or developed countries and also very rampant and enormous in developing or third world countries. In most countries of the world, corruption is the other of the day. Corruption is when the budget of a full nation is shared and divided among some particular individuals just because they are the rulers of that nation. Corruption is when a country that is the fourth largest oil producing country of the world cannot even boast of basic life amenities for her citizens. I look forward to the day when an ordinary man in Nigeria without no connection or influence in the government house will apply for a proper job and be successful. I look forward to the day when i can proudly tell my unborn children how corruption was eradicated from my land. I look forward to the day when i don`t have to bribe someone to get to the top. I look forward to the day when the word "Poverty" will be a thing of the past. I look forward to the day when joy and happiness will be all we know in Nigeria. The change is going to come that i know but when, that i do not know. it might take some few years but i know things will surely get better in my land. I weep everyday when i see the deteriorating state of my country . God help Nigeria, God help West africa, God help Africa, God help the world.

My next article will be about Nigerian scammers

17yr old footballer (who looks a lot older) quits social media after abuse

This Lazio player pictured above says he's 17 years old and no one believes him. Joseph Minala from Cameroon was forced to shut down his instagram and Facebook accounts following abuse over his age. People think he is a guy in his 30s claiming to be 17.

The midfielder tried to convince his followers that he didn't lie about his age by sharing a pic of his passport which showed his birth date on his instagram page but that didn't convince anyone. The abuse continued and he was forced to shut down his instagram page. He also filtered out Twitter pictures of himself and deleted his Facebook profile.
"Envy is the weakness of man, and those with a poor soul hurt others when you are in Serie A. Love you! Forza Lazio." Joseph tweeted after deleting his Facebook page.
Minala joined the Italian giants in December 2013..

How Iyanya Lied About His N150million Endorsement Deal With Lenovo

Culled from Dailypost;

New report surfacing online has revealed that Iyanya Mbuk’s alleged N150million deal with Tech Company, Lenovo is a mere media stunt.

Five days ago, the music star announced that he had bagged an endorsement deal, with yet another tech company, Lenovo by posting a photo of him holding a Levono tablet. NET investigations show that the Pop singer’s purported endorsement deal might be totally fabricated.
“New Product!!! New Ambassador!!! Brand Ambassador!!!! Lenovo!!!! Iyanya!!!!
Task Direct 2014 Started #triplemg’.” He had revealed.
Iyanya’s Manager, Ubi Franklin further confirmed the report saying ‘It’s true, it cost about N150 to N170 million and the duration is for 24 months’”
Recent findings by NET however claim otherwise.
“We contacted Lenovo’s HQ in South Africa who then directed us to a rep in Nigeria named Mr OlumideLenovo SA also say they are not aware of the deal. Olumide told our Editors over the phone that he was not aware of any signing with Iyanya and told us to call back.
‘I can’t really say on that. I don’t know anything; I don’t know who he is. Honestly, I don’t know anything, maybe you should call him and ask him yourself’, Olumide told our correspondent over the telephone.” The news portal revealed.
Furthermore, a source in Iyanya’s Triple MG camp says ‘There’s no signing, Iyanya is just trying to bounce some hype around and get some mentions online, which he did

Sochi torchbearer desperately tries to explain racist Obama tweet

Torchbearer Irina Rodnina must have thought that lighting the Olympic cauldron for the Sochi Games would be one of the highlights of her career, but instead it has embroiled the three-time gold medallist in an international race row.
Rodnina, who won gold medals in figure skating in Sapporo in 1972, Innsbruck in 1976 and Lake Placid in 1980, became one of the figureheads of the Winter Games when, in conjunction with former ice hockey star Vladislav Tretiak, she set alight the Olympic flame.
But perhaps fittingly for a Winter Olympics shrouded in controversy over issues of discrimination, it has now come to light that Rodnina was once involved in a racism row after posting a deeply offensive picture of US President Barack Obama.
The offending tweet came back in September when Rodnina, who is an MP with Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party, posted a doctored photo of a chewing Obama alongside his wife, Michelle, with a banana in the foreground.
An unrepentant Rodnina then posted: "Freedom of speech is freedom of speech, and you should answer for your own hang-ups.”
Her actions drew stinging criticism from US ambassador Michael McFaul (below) before the controversy died down and Rodnina was free to go about her business in the Duma, the Russian parliament.
However, after her star turn at the Sochi opening ceremony, the row has erupted once more and this time Rodnina has changed her tune, claiming that she was hacked and apologising for not explaining the chain of events clearly enough.
So was her account hacked, or, as she claimed back in September, is it the case that she believes "freedom of speech is freedom of speech"?
Either way, after a build up to the Games which focused intently on Russia's anti-gay laws, this is yet another unwelcome headache for the Sochi organisers.

 What is FOREX

Abbr. "FOREX" stands for Foreign Exchange, an exchange of currencies. When a person comes to trade currencies, e.g. buy one currency and sell another one - it is called currency exchange trading, or simply known as Forex.
Because the value of each currency always on the move, it fluctuates depending on the local and global economic factors, there is always an opportunity to profit on those changes/fluctuations - it is called currency speculation.

What currency pairs to trade in Forex?

Although there is lots of currency pairs offered to Forex traders, if you are a beginner it is easier to start with major currency pairs:
EUR/USD
GBP/USD
USD/JPY

There are several good reasons for that:
1. These currency crosses are widely traded, thus providing liquidity which is needed in order to benefit from price changes.
2. They have tight spreads, except may be for GBP/USD, which most of the time receives higher spread quotation from Forex brokers as it is more volatile (e.g. has wider price ranges than other pairs).

What time frame to trade in Forex?

What is the best time frame in Forex? What is the most profitable time frame in Forex?
Those and similar questions are rising day after day in minds of novice Forex traders.
Let’s drop out the philosophy and focus on facts.
We know that each time frame displays same data, but in different intervals.
The choice of time frames is wide.
Let’s take the most preferred Forex time frames: 1 day, 1 hour and 5 minute.
These time frames are also perfect for beginners to test their feel about the Forex market.

Emmanuel Adebayor - My Family Once Called Me "Rubbish" Back In The Days Before My Success

Emmanuel Adebayor in a new interview has said he went through a lot during his dark days at Tottenham under Andre Villas-Boas. The coach saw nothing in him and even his family called him rubbish and said the little success he had before then was just luck, until his story changed.
Here is what he said in the new interview and how Tim Sherwood came to his rescue.

"I was right at the bottom of the hole. Even people in my own country, people from my own family, criticised me. It can't get worse than that. They said, 'You're rubbish and whatever you did before in your career was luck.' But the new coach [Sherwood] trusted me. He gave me the keys to all the doors of the club and said, 'Do what you want to do and make yourself at home'."

Restaurant In A Plane: Ghana Airways Aircraft Now A Popular Luxurious Eatery (PHOTOS)

Restaurant In A Plane: Ghana Airways Aircraft Now A Popular Luxurious Eatery (PHOTOS)

Two months after a new restaurant was launched in Ghana’s capital, Accra, it is flying high. Known locally as the “Green Plane”, it is located in an old DC-10 aeroplane which used to travel from Ghana to Europe and the US. It is proving popular, especially with those who want to see what it is like inside an aircraft.
Owned by Ghana Airways before it went bankrupt in 2005, the plane was once impounded at London’s Heathrow airport because of the national carrier’s unpaid debts.
The government now hopes to earn some money from the aircraft and the restaurant was opened in partnership with Vindira Company Limited.

“Attendance is very impressive. At first, people wanted to have a feel of restaurant in a plane but surprisingly they keep coming,” says restaurant manager Indira Shiyam.
Some visitors have never been inside an aeroplane. “I am excited to be here, my first time in a plane,” said Mary Dapaah as she posed for a photo. “It looks a little different from the inside of planes I see on television”.
The seats have also been rearranged for the restaurant, which is in a plush Accra suburb near a number of luxurious hotels and shopping malls close to Kotota International Airport – diners can hear planes taking off and landing. “The expectations of people who come here are very high… so you have to be extra nice and careful as if you are an air hostess,” says Peace Dzamenu, a waitress at the restaurant.

Blog Joke of the day

There three men living together. An Afro-American, a West Indian and a Nigerian. They were all starving because they didn't have money to buy food.
They took a walk and on approaching a restaurant in this classy neighbourhood, they came up with a plan.

The Afro-American went in first. After being seated, he ordered a three course meal with white wine. When he had finished the meal, the waiter came by with the bill. “LISTEN MAN, I ALREADY PAID YOU!” the Afro-American shouted! The waiter was very confused because he could not remember being paid. But because he did not want to cause any trouble, he let him leave.

Five minutes later, the West Indian walked into the same restaurant and ordered a five course meal with red wine. When he was finished eating, the waiter came by to collect the money for the food. “HEY, HEY, LOOK AT ME CLOSELY. BUT I PAID YOU ALREADY!” the West Indian shouted. This time the manager came and had to calm down the West Indian, because he did not want anything to upset the other customers. He let him go.

Ten minutes later, the Nigerian walked in. He sat down. Lit up a cigarette, and ordered the most expensive meal on the menu, plus two bottles of Wine. After he had finished, the waiter came to collect the money for the meal, but before the Nigerian could say anything, the waiter spoke to him. "Sir, I have been having all sorts of problems all day and I can’t understand it. Two other people like you came in earlier and ate, and they say that they paid me but I don’t remember getting any money from them so -” Before he could finish, the Nigerian interrupted, rather emphatically, “OGA I'M SORRY, BUT THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM. I JUST WANT YOU TO GIVE ME MY CHANGE!!!"
